Article No. 260242121050 in ebay.de - interesting Rally Coupe for sale....looks like a million; costs less
Re: fulvarati in ebay
The chassis number is unreadable in the photo of the FIA paperwork, but this can't be a genuine 1.2HF. Sure looks like much less than a million to me...
Re: fulvarati in ebay
engine#: 818 140
chassis#: 818 130 00 6087
According to chassisn° is it a normal 1.2 coupé; the 1.2HF is a 818 140 n°.
Engine n° is correct; if they didn't wrote down the number on the cilinderhead.
But engine on paperwork is replaced by normal 818 303 engine?!
so: the so called 1.2HF body is a 1.2 coupé body
and
the 1.2HF engine is replaced by a normal 1.3S engine.
and
an non original 5 speed gearbox
looks like a bogus 1.2HFski to me?!
but I'm not a pro-HF-spotter.
Maybe William can confirm it's a bogus/real HF...
If someone is in searche for a real HF: ebay.it offers this: 110249213513
or
autoscout24.es offers several pumped up Fulvias like this lovely 1.2HF:
http://www.autoscout24.es/Details.aspx?id=36940709
If I can borrow 15000€ from someone; it will be well spend! I will give back in.... 100years!
ciao

Re: fulvarati in ebay
OK; I take back " looks like a million".
May I replace those words with " looks like an interesting Fulverati" ?
Comunque, the owner must love it, since if he really ust invested Euro 8,000 getting it tip-top.
Of course, having work done in Switzerland was nver cheap.
Perhaps he needs to sell it in order to pay the recent investment.
In ogni modo, I'm watching it just to see where the price goes / doesn't go.

Re: fulvarati in ebay
Both cars seem odd. The german offering is obviousely not correct. to many details show this car as being a replica made out of a normal coupé body. See for example the bumper holes in the body and the trim on the sill. Allthough it is a 1200cc body.
The autoscoutcar looks more like it but has an oilcooler installed. And installed as the factory would with a spotwelded colorcoded strip in the lh wheelarch for keeling the hoses. 1200HFs never had the oilcooler. The date of 1965 as immatriculation date is to early as the HF was only homologated from january 1966.
The interior looks original.
The problem with the Fulvia and particularly the HF models is that there is too little difference between the normal and the special versions. There are hardly unique non reproducable parts to identify the friend from the foo.
Compare this with the Alfa 105 GTA and it is clear that a replica would reveal itself if only a magnet would be used. Let alone the unique rear suspension.
Prices are still somewhat different though.... But still it pays to 'create' a Fanalone from a 1300 ralley and sell it as the real thing.
