Suspension thoughts

Unread post by Zanetti »

Hi Everone,

I am going to be restoring one of my Coupé's, a S2 '74 model, and I have two S2 donor cars, a '72 and '70.
The '70 is technically a series 1.5 according to Paul, with some suspension differences up front, ie. upper wishbone...

Which subframe/suspension setup is better, the older S1.5 or the S2?

Any thoughts?

Technically they have the same geometry, but the S1 (S1.5) mechanics were more traditional and better construction.

Hub jump in and put me right.... I only say what I say as i have a S1.5 with S1 mechanics and S2 front spring... and S1 drive shafts and S2 brakes and S1 paint (body)!!!
