4th international Flemish Dutch Fulvia meeting

Our next Fulvia meeting is planned for sept 6 and 7, 2008.
Like last year most of the route will be in northern France. Start is somewhere in the Belgian French border region. For many it may be a good idea to arrive on the 5th.

If only there weren't an ocean between us!

I feel isolated here in "middle-America". Most of the Lancisti are on the coasts and I rarely find an event to attend even here in the US. Texas is big, but they just like trucks and Humvees down here...

I went to an "Orphan" Car meet last weekend, for owners of marques that have gone the way of the dinosaur. Studebakers, Packards, Hudsons, AMC... They also invite pre-1984 marques that no longer have a manufacturer/dealer presence in the US, so I took my little 'Tessa out on a date. Not only was I the only Italian car there, I was the only foreign car of any nationality, and every car outweighed me by a ton or more!

Anyway, it was fun. I got a lot of curious old goats asking me about my "little thang"... Okay, minds out of the gutter folks... the car, the car! Really though, most of these guys were in their 60s driving cars "like daddy had". I think I'll pass next year and look for somthing a little more my speed.

Well, why don't you inquire about shipping rates. Might not be that bad if you can make a deal for a party. The following weekend there is a nice meeting of the Dutch Lancia Club. And our Italian friends are always capable of organising a raduno on the spot. So, there will be plenty to do.

the old geezer event still sounded like fun..dry & hot texas is certainly a great place to preserve old cars ( & goats). U don't need to bring your Car to participate in the Sep. Meeting, only a plane ticket !

Funny time: I'm glad that the cars outweighed "you" ! If they didn't, u'd never B able 2 fit in ur "lil thang". !

Huib, all...

There appears to be an outside chance that I'll be engaged for a project in the UK that will have me there for the better 6-8 months. If I'm on "the continent" during the meeting, I'll try to make a point of joining you. It'd be great to put faces on some of these tag lines, and to see some other Fulvias in action.

I'll let you all know if it pans out...

Hey You Planners,
feel free start this Meeting where you wish - since you all will be coming from the North to arrive in France, but try to plan coming somewhere a bit close to the German border (Alsace?) , so we can get some (more) Swiss / German (Italian?) Fulvisti to attend than in 2007 !
