Geoff / John,

What I was trying to say is that I found an error in my own spreadsheet. Andreas' count from Weernink (and from Stella, who probably got it from Wim, too) of 911 total all-alloy Sports is correct, with 202 @ 1.2, and 709 @ 1.3.

Nice story and it is as ever. You are talking about the italien " livestyle" but
this was not the answer of the open question.

However,

I am working since 1988 with the italien carproducer starting with Lancia Thema items
and i can tell you also a lot of how they work ( or not ).

I remember very well of one sentence of my let me say friend Federico ( he is working for ferrari and a brilliant engineer)

" We have to stop the developmet because we have to produce cars"

We call it the " Italien solutions "

Regards

PS.: I like the italien solutions

SEEN TONIGHT ON TV: Blood Red Fulvia Zagato being passed by a white VW Beetle in "Herbie goes to MonteCarlo"; I only saw the trail-end of file (thank hvns), so I don't know if it (the Z) was also in other, earlier scenes.

another Lancia popped into several scenes as well...in a star-roll (no text) Beta MonteCarlo(tu) in Fulvia Blue & Yello (see Castle Combe posts above) ... it was driven into a lake :)
