cool-weather disregarded, it looks like it a great place to have met...

as for the next event.... 11 Sep is 1 day before a Fulvia Hound-Chase in Be/Fr, which is lot closer-to-fireplace for many of us

Castle Comb website shows it to be 1/2 way to Iceland from my Village....but close to Bristol, where I will team-up with a Gamma Convoy going to Presteigne for the Annual-UK-Meet on 17 Sep.

maybe I'll have time visit "the Prettiest Village in England (according to themselves) & the Circuit on the way back toward the Continent. What will the weather be ?

in Francwe will (we pray) have Sole Sole Sole & no Lance slipping off track :); as we witnessed 2 yrs ago on Hound-Chase, where a non-Lancia went off-road at an intersection, after safely negotation its way down an exciting corkscrew, that the Hound-Pack we were racing up.....
Perhaps it had a brake failure.
In any case it parked, nose face-down in a shallow stream.bed.... It appeared to have little damage & its occupants were standing on the very wet road, looking undamaged as well !;)

Thank goodness it hit no Lancia (s) including ours ;) enroute to its destination.

back to Cast. Co. - which one of these lovely Lancia is yours ?

if you know the Istoria of #60...where did this I-catching happy 'paint-scheme' come from ?

i.e.....why is it as it is (tu) ?

hi gamma

i own the lancia rally car in the topic below and a kappa saloon
,see pics in my posts

the fulvia's were all running well at a steady pace enjoying the track (its been used by the top gear team search for cheap sports car for the price of a mondeo feature on youtube)

as to the origin of the fulvia paint scheme im sure the owner can post more info on this lovely looking car, very well prepared and rot free (the blue car war pristine a real credit to the owner) and the red car had a nice couple enjoying the day and both driving the circuit.

if anyone else who attended has pics and stories please post here :)

hope to see you in sept

TONIGHT I THOUGHT I'D CATCH UP ON THE DAYS NEWS BY FLICKING ON CNN; INSTEAD I SAW A REAL-LIFE REENACTMENT OF AN AMAZINK AUTO-RACE. I ENJOYED WATCHING THE LAST 30 MIN (or so) OF "Herbie goes to Monte Carlo"; WITH H PASSING PASSING & REPASSSING ITALFRENGERM GTish CARS AGAIN AGAIN & (ho hum) AGAIN WHILE FALLING IN LUV W/ A LANCIA MONTE CARLO (actually the US Version aka Scorpion) IN SAME COLORS & PAINT SCHEME AS THE BLUEYELLO FULVIA (Monte Carlo?) SHOWN IN ABOVE PHOTOS . AMAZING !!

I ALSO SAW ... FOR A SHORT FEW SECS...H PASSING A BLOOD-RED FULVIA Z ( jest like mine !!) & PASSING SA FEW OF THEM LATER-DAY HOT-ROD FULVIA (aka Lancia Stratos) & AN INTERESTIN GAGGLE OF OTHER ATTRCTVE 4 WHEELERS. NICE SCENERY TOO !

THE DRIVERS WORE 'NO SEAT BELTS' !!! SHAME SHAME; WHAT ARE WE TEACHING OUR CHILLEN(td)

I'VE READ A MANY TIMES THAT THE STRATOS WAS DESIGNED TO CARRY FULVIA POWER.

OI WONDER, WERE ANY 4cyl FULVIA-STRATOS EVER BUILT & PERHAPS WRITTEN ABOUT ?

John,

The original 'wedge' Stratos show car (the so-called Stratos Zero) used a Fulvia 1.6 engine and drivetrain. But there's very little connection between this car and the production Stratos--only the name--the Fulvia engine wasn't ever seriously considered for the "real" Stratos.

aha ! wadda shame; Lancia could have sold 'em (Fulvatos) . at 1/2 price of the Dancing-Horse Stratos & kept the Fulvia Legend alive.
