Zagato for Sale
Sorry for making some folks wait so long...I've been busy / traveling / not otherwise available & havn't had much time to even look at a 'for - sale' Z... see Viva Lancia "Cars & Parts for sale".
Since parking my "awaiting repair" Gam in "Fulvia's-Corner" some days ago, I had to move Fulvia.
I borrowed Gam's battery & re-be-came a Fulvisti.... What Fun.::o
I also took new photos. I knew I'd taken photos before...but had no idea where they were filed.
I 'd completely forgotten where a huge phulvia-photo-phile was stored....but, since I'd not looked at them nor looked for them for 5+ yrs, I forgive myself.
Old photos were required by Insurance Co's Main Office, hundreds of miles away, showing that they were not insuring a rust-heap that I-d be happy to have stolen & to collect a huge claim on.
So, I've gotten around to taking new photos, showing how Z looks in 2010 (same as in 2009).
Today, while downloading new photos on a seldom-used computer, that was not linked to another computer; a computer in tiny office (now used as stock-room for non-automotive-application mechanical parts) in seldom-visited corner of our building, I discovered file named.red car Holy Moly !!
Also files of all other vehicles insured in 05, I found dozens of Z photos, inside & outside Z.
That computer is now linked & photos can be sent to any/everyone.
So, friends who I've promised phulvia-Z-photos to...please re-email; now I can reply.
Over this last rainy cold weekend (crap for my business) I also wrote a "Car-History" of Z # 2765.
I reviewed in-detail old repair bills (long before my time) written in a foreign (to me) language.
I read the adendum to the very detailed purchase contract(s) & I read the contract(s) (plural) that I wrote prior to buying # 2675. I am still surprised, 6 years later, that the seller ever signed them !.
I had written these legal-documents to protect me, who - in 04 - knew little about Fulvia or the other cars that were.'part of the deal'. It was a good idea to write these contracts, but that is another story.
Mia & Niomi were not here to help me recall the dirty-little-stone-details of buying a Fulvia Z B)
O'er the weekend I delved into details of # 2675's past, as I never had done in past.
I tried to contact certain-persons in 1 foreign-country, to no avail..... I will not try again;.
I needed local assistance (at home) to read the 23, 24, 25 year-old-bills; bills from auto-shops contracted to perform major (& minor) tasks, by W.G., previous owner.
I discovered that I had a sort of Purchase-Contract showing how much he paid, when he paid & how he paid.
It seems to have been written on 1/2 of a schoolbook-lined smudgý sheet of note paper.
I didn't know I had so much History of Z.. I guess I didn't care, prior to last weekend.
Junk documents, alpine-tunnel-passes, fuel bills, parking tickets etc I threw away.
I added up what W.G.'s Investment in Z # 2675 was, so many yrs ago. I stopped breathing.
Thank You W.G.; you really must have loved your Z .
& now, in 2010, I am still benefiting from moneys you spent.
No, I will not bore those who reads the Fulvia Forum by posting "Car-History", as written by Johnny G.
Everyones Fulvia has a long history...not all of these histories are so traceable; but some (that I have read, am still reading, sometimes in installments & some I have been verbally been told) are a lot more interesting than my Z's Istoria & are often regrettable !!!:(
Some of my 'Car-History' information may end-up on a web-site that is in planning ( I think).
I can email that now completed,. at least up until 12 Aug 2010 "Car-History" to anyone who would, for any reason whatsoever, like to read it, even with photos even !!

ha ha: while searching today for any old Fulvia road-test in English that I could find.
I found none. I will keep on searching

Turn-in is precise.
There is little body roll to speak of .
Standard .... wheels and tires offer plenty of grip.
Brake pedal feel is also quite good with a linear action that is easy to modulate

Again, the ....'s pedigree shines through when it comes to vehicle dynamics. oh my, what fluff
And yet, when you sit in passenger seat or in (drivers seat).... the experience is eerily similar to being driven around in a (Flavia)
Obviously .... has its DNA down pat.
This is a car you can equally enjoy driving or being driven in

ha ha; it is actually a (slightly heavily modified) text written in an english-language Auto-Magazine in 2010, about a gas-guzzling monster-size bloated-boat of a swb 4 door motor-vehicle with a price tag approaching an apartment in downtown Monte Carlo.....and (according to the author) "a hood the size of a baby grand piano ! "
but it coulda been a Fulvia, with (my) mods.
I wonder how much money the magazine collected to (barf) grind out a glowing-report / such-trash about a "Luxo-Barge" that
1) has someone elses motor, trans etc
2) has someone elses frame, axles etc
3) is to be the economy-model, regarding price & fuel-consumption, of this Manufacturer.

I've been unable to make sense of the Fulvia Zagato Chassis # 'scheme'.
What I've been trying to determine is total # of each series built; specificially the # of 1.3S built.
Can anyone help ?

The reference sources give the following Fulvia Sport production numbers:
818.132/133: 202 (Fulvia Sport [1.2])
818.332/333: 1,578 (Fulvia Sport 1.3)
818.362/363: 1,898 (Fulvia Sport 1.3S)
818.650/651: 2,600 (Fulvia Sport 1.3S [S2])
818.750/751: 800 (Fulvia Sport 1600)
I wouldn't want to bet large sums of money on the perfect accuracy of those numbers, but they're probably pretty close.

You have to split the 818.332/333: 1,578 (Fulvia Sport 1.3) in two separate
blocks.
I would like to say very important depent on the Alu and steel versions.
The first 709 if i remember well ( more ore less ) are build with Alubody. After
that they have the steel body.

the BIG ? - how many survived the trip until 2010; not counting cars rotting under grape-vines somewhere or falling to pieces in some damp climate.

of several Z offered on websites at this moment (I've discovered several in Euro & 1 in Jap) ...why do so few have bumpers ? even those that should have bumpers (non racing models) seem to be without them & there seems to be no mention of 'original bumpers available".
Did all bumpers rust into oblivion ? [or is everyone playing 'boy-razor ?

818.650 002675 is the 1675th one built. They started with number 1001. 818.650 = left hand drive. 818.651 = right hand drive.
