Plugs on S3 Inlet Manifold

Hello there
I am interested to know the purpose of the 2 No plugs which are on the inlet manifold please.

Additionally does anyone know the thread size tapped into the manifold.

Any assistance appreciated.

the thread is a normal M8 dimension if i remember well.
