goodbye chrysler

Unread post by gamma a.i. »

should anyone care ! chrysler is to disappear from the euro-auto.scene over the next months; ex-chrysler dealers will become Lancia dealers & put up new signs to prove it; hopefully leading to great sales of Lancia badged as Lancia & Chrysler badged as Lancia...or the opposite or both or...it seems to be a big mess / a bad joke !

Time will tell, or not, or all, or none. Lets wait and ho-hum...who really cares....:)

just hope lancia survive this period, the cheap alfa has never been its handle but if people new to the brand see it poping up in old chrysler garages re badged or not they will assume the brand is not good enough to sell in the posh alfa garage up the road.sounds to me like they want to bring the car to the masses and not the few.thats a good thing in this day and age hope it goes well for all involved and the marque survives......take bugatti,it was dead in the water in the 80s and 90s now the name has risen to don the flanks of the worlds fastest road car.

hope im around to see someone at lancia rebuild the racing heritage and win the f1/wrc in the same year! we can all dream

(im sure ferrari would let that happen?)

Fiat Group will only allow Lancia back into F1 if they need a Ferrari "B Team", like Red Bull and Toro Rosso; they won't allow direct competition with Ferrari in F1.

But let's not get too greedy. Personally, I'd happily settle for a credible WRC effort alone.

don't hold your breath...they are talking of a new C segment line-up for 2012 running in parallel to the current Delta...it ought to be based on the new platform so there might be hope...

i think the new wrc regulations for s2000 and s1600 will suit the fiat group platforms well....the punto abarth is a decent rally car and fiat have built a great package to go with it for the privateer's.

the fiat 500 and delta would be good places to start, and what better way to promote the brand...all the history to draw from and the chance for major tv coverage watched by millions of new customers from ken blocks you tube generation.

ferrari f1 b team would be nice hey,get schuey in a lancia (not being serious here lol but it would be a great day if lancia announced a return to f1)

keep driving your lancia's whatever they are.

hope to see some of you at goodwood festival of speed

there was an interview with the GM of the group here in Switzerland published last week in Automobile Revue of Switzerland; he stated that for 2012 there is going to be a new Saloon, Hatchback and Station Wagon in the C segment in parallel to the Delta which is a C/D class car...nothing more, nothing less...
