Another cause of "drifting" I've encountered, is a worn or cracked steering flexible joint. (the one connecting the steering shaft to the steering box).

I wish no one who owns a Fulvia, or any other nice old car, to have "all of the above" at the same time
At least not without having a good life-insurance policy or / & a fat-wallet.
Of course, at some time in every old, old cars, owners life these situations will occur.
Lard have mercy. Please assure that they will be spaced-out over a long period of time, to avoid fatal Fulvia* bleeding. * or any other Marque of old car bleeding.
Can you just imagine these sort of situations occurring at the same time on a, for example, 58 Facel Vega ? Ouch & Ouch again.
