Hi lancisti!
Can you advice your favourite spark plugs for 1,6 hf?
I am posting this topic because I can not get the Champion R61 or R6 anymore.
Today I am using NGK D8EVX, but I think it does not worth the money.
Thank you,
Carlos

Re: 1,6 hf spark plugs
you'll find a good discussion of spark plugs here, under "mechanics", "engine"

Champion R61 never worked very well anyway. NGK D8EV works well for me, but these have been discontinued in favor of the Iridium series. I believe that D8EA is still available, and cheaper than the EV.

Re: 1,6 hf spark plugs
That is the NGK D8EA plug I run, and have had good experience with.
Except of course, for the infamous Road America episode last month!!!

Thank you Ed.
I have checked the site you adviced me, and I am decided to D8EA.

Sam,
I think you might be running a B8EA rather than a D8EA (?); the 818.540 uses a 12mm plug--not a 14mm. (Torque wrenches recommended either way!)

Ed-
You are correct.
Sorry for the mistake
Substituted the D for my B.
Knew it was a _8EA NGK plug though.
Driving Gina in the Chicago Columbus Day Parade on Saturday with many other Italian marques.
Trying to get as much Fall driving in before the Chicago winter!
Ciao!
