Crankshaft Pulley

Unread post by Steve »

Hi,
How can I undo the nut holding the crankshaft pulley ?
And what torque setting do I need to fasten it to ?

thanks

An air impact wrench is the easiest.

You can lock the engine by inserting a big socket (say 32mm) in the starter motor hole - engaging it with the teeth of the flywheel, then you can use a "clout" spanner to give the bolt a sharp crack!

It should be tightened to about 100lbs/ft - 140nm or so.
