Head size

Unread post by lanciagarage »

Can anyone tell me what the original Fulvia S2 cylinder head thickness is..... and what the minimum should be. I think someone has been a little too enthusiastic on skimming the head, resulting in valves hitting pistons and subsequent breaking of rockers

I do not have the information you require, but I should say that as far as I can recall, that if the valves, pistons and camshafts are standard, then there is about a centimetre of clearance between the valves and pistons +/- 5° of TDC. I do not believe that anyone has shaved 10mm off a cylinder head - and if they had the timing chain would be very slack!
