King Pin Angle - KPI

King Pin Angle - KPI

Understand it as the angle the steering (vertical) axis is displaced relative to the centre of the front tyre patch.

Any idea whjat this should be on 1600 Fulvia Coupe?

Thanks

8.75 degrees. Relevant number if you want to calculate adequate wheel offsets.

We do not have Dutch word for it and I would even think there is no real English word for it, but you would be looking at a nice German term called Lenkrollhalbmesser for the effects of this 8.75 degrees on steering characteristics and especially while braking. I hardly use spacers any more, because of the negative effect on vibration on the front wheels (kind of wheel shimmy) whilst braking.

That is a good one!! I will leave that to the English to comment. But it is indeed an angle that would incur 'scrubbing' of the tires. Great term!!
