Broken Rockers

Unread post by lanciagarage »

A friend of mine is having problems with broken rockers on his 1.3 Fulvia S2. After the second time 3 of them broke, we discovered that someone had substituted Fiat Uno valve springs, which were replaced with genuine Fulvia springs. Now one of the rockers has broken again. We also changed all the rockers last time.

Any ideas and or suggestions as to what may be causing this.

Hmmmm. I think we have found the problem. We removed the head to reveal some rather unusual flat topped pistons that appear to come from a Mazda. Isn't it amazing what some people will do to get a car to run. compression was on 650kpa so thats we removed the head. the car actually ran very smoothly every time we replaced rockers but only for about 80km

Hi Phil, lets see if I can spell this word right the 1st time ? Ingenuity !!! or "need is the motha o' invention" :)

do you have any idea how long these pistons were in the motor, mileage wise ? what will you do now ? install a rotary engine ?
