This vehicle comes from the permanent collection of the Turin car museum. Actually the museum is under rebuilding and the Flaminia is part of the exhibition "Evoluzione dell'automobile 1899-2009" in Turin, with many others.
The former italian President, Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, used this car for the last time on the 2 of june 1999, during the Republic day parade. After a total restoring by Pininfarina's specialists, during the 2001, president Ciampi donated this Flaminia to the museum.

Re: Turin car museum: Flaminia 335
Particularly, this is the Flamina 335 (plate Roma454306, chassis n°813.99.1002) called "Belmonte". The former President Grochi asked to Pininfarina to fit out 4 special vehicles equipped with the same engine of the Flaminia, a 2.5 liters with a single carburetor, on a special chassis 3.35 meters long. Pininfarina finished the cars in 6 months. The other presidential Flaminias are "Belfiore", "Belsito" and "Belvedere". These names are the same of the corazzieri's horses, the presidential horse guards.
H.R.M. the Queen Elizabeth II and H.R.H. the Prince Philip Duke of Edimburgh, were welcomed on board of the "Belmonte" by the former President Gronchi in 1961, during their visit in Rome, on the occasion of the centenary of the unification of Italy.
