Does anybody know if the rocker cover bolts of the Fiat 124 Spider (or 124 DHOC motors) fit on the rocker cover of the Fulvia ?
Thanks

Rocker cover bolts
Re: Rocker cover bolts
Orlando,
I'm pretty sure they do. I know the thread is the same, because the fixture I made for measuring valve displacement fits both my Fiat 124 spider and my Fulvia.

Re: Rocker cover bolts
Be very careful; with incorrect bolts it is possible to damage the camshaft caps.
The originals are very heavy; I had mine turned down !

Re: Rocker cover bolts
I think I did not express myself very well.
What I want to know is : did the external nuts of the valve rocker cover ( the blue and yellow one in Fanalone) are similar to those of the Fiat 124 Spider (or 124 DHOC motors) and fit the Fulvia ?
Thanks

Re: Rocker cover bolts
I have a strong feeling that the the FIAT has tube NUTS rather than the M8 bolts as fitted to Fulvias.
Should you need some Fulvia ones I am sure that they are easy to find.

Re: Rocker cover bolts
Paul, you are quite correct. And Orlando, I'm sorry, I gave you bad information.
I've just checked on my Fiat and on the Fulvia. The Fiat has special long M6 shouldered nuts -- at least on my 1980 2 litre. Obviously these aren't suitable for the Fulvia.
I took another look at the threaded rod that I use for mounting a dial gauge, when I want to measure valve movement. Turns out that it has an M8 male thread on one end, and M6 female on the other. That's why the same rod can be used on the Fiat and on the Lancia, and that's why I was fooled.
Moral is to check information before opening mouth ...

Re: Rocker cover bolts
Thank you for both of you.
For Peter : I am restoring the motor of my Fanalone of the year 1969. The motor is number 818540-1089.
I have the 6 rocker bolts, but they are a little rusty on the top.
If I find new or almost new ones I buy them if it is as fair price.

Re: Rocker cover bolts
Unlikely that you will find ones good enough. Best to have yours cleaned up and re-plated.
