Fascinating, thanks for posting. A reminder of how much technology has changed in the last 40 years ... especially the picture of the drawing office!

And did Lancia *really* test every engine on a brake dyno for 180 minutes?

Great indeed!
That is how they designed the narrow V4 engine where nothing is straight. The cilinders under an angle, the engine under 45 degrees to the left and 7 degrees to the rear. And it still comes out in the center so that the gearbox fits to it.

The brochure of which the pictures are shown in the article is on Fulvia CD S1-2 (18 pages)
It is for sale on this website. There are many more beautiful brochures on it, as well as a few user manuals and an italian factory workshop manual.
