I would just like to comment that I firmly believe that ALL Fulvias are grossly under-priced.

Compare a Fulvia with some of the rubbish that fetches higher prices - you can't!

I was going to include some examples of the rubbish I had in mind, but I suppose someone would have been upset.

But why a modified Morris tractor should fetch similar money to the exquisite Fulvia is something I simply cannot understand...

Further to the Paul's comments : at the same auction, a one owner, unrestored1968 V8 Holden Monaro coupe, (Australian equivalent to a Ford Mustang/Chev Camaro) achieved Aus $220,000! You could have bought the Fulvia, a 1969 Maserati Ghibli, a Lamborghini Espada and an Austin Healey BJ8 for the same amount. I have driven the Fulvia (it was restored by a friend) and other than worn tie rod end, it is in beautiful condition and well worth the money.

Tony,

Thanks for coming down and showing me the car today. It really is superb. The underside of the car would indicate very little use since restoration.
Against all my better judgement I wil have to buy a lottery ticket this weekend in the hope of a win....

For anyone else interested see the link in my first post.
It is for sale for the equivalent of £22,000

I spoke to my father in law today about the Monaro. He had exactly the same '68 but in metallic blue some years ago. He couldn't believe the price and will be casting around NZ to try and dig up another one....
The comparison with the fulvia is sad, the Monaro has drums at the rear, a pushrod engine, 4 speed box, drives like a tractor, and you would be lucky to find any aluminium in it anywhere.

Be grateful, folks! It means we can buy a fabulous car for cheap and quietly snicker at everyone else.

Are those 14" Campagnolo wheels on the yellow machine? Also teh steering wheel doesn't look like a normal 3 spoke HF one.
