Hi Leo,

Living in the country wasn't a drawback with the LHD headlamps on my Y Elefantino Rosso that I bought new in Rotterdam in 1999, it spent the first 2 years with me in Herefordshire & wales, and until I sold it last November it lived with me in Rural Bedfordshire, I always did the same as Simon with his Delta HPE, and kept the headlamp height adjuster set just off the low position, and it was never a problem & at MOT times, an understanding test station confirmed the no dazzle while set at this position, so it's not a problem.

Just as well you sent the second messages as I was about to be rather rude, not my usual style!
Fiat Group generally make good vehicles that don't rot away these days, over the past 11 years I've had 4 Lancia Dedra, 2 Themas, and a Y elefantino Rosso, as well as various older Lancia's. Irrespective of the views of the normal detractors, ALL have been/are very good, reliable, comfortable and still feel different to run of the mill Vauxhalls (whom I worked for for 23 years) Fords, BMW's( mostly Tarts Cars).Etc.
All it needs is a bit of faith & desire to sell Italian cars to other than the home markets, on Fiat Senior Managers part along with telling the Companies Bean Counters to jump in the Lake.

Oh. dear!

I thought you drove a RHD white Thema or RHD red Beta montecarlo or RHD Grey 1600 Delta Turbo every day ?. Dip beam! Get the aux lights on.

Leo,

Ferrari, "Masers" what are you on about. This is a site for LANCIA. Now move on.

Lancia Beta spyder early 70'S which sold well at the height of the brand and the replacement, what was it again, thats right, a few Delta/Prisma rag tops maybe six or ten if you count the privately developed ones.

Kappa coupe, Everything appart from the looks I must say, were excellent, maybe they were at your rave when discussing the looks.

Lets be fair I still have many Lancia's 11 or 12 at last count and I still visit an offical Lancia dealer to purchase the "dealer parts" at their mark up of course.

Get real, your cash or even mine will not save such a great marquee and brand. That's up to the bean counters.

VIVA LANCIA

Will you read this of course you will.

PS. eh! and what Lancias/Maserati did you buy for full RRP. Lots!?! didn't you dear boy. Yeah right.

as regards the kappa coupé I recall the dealer I bought my Delta hpe from (new but not full price who buys any new car at full price?) almost weeping that they didn't produce the bertone proposal and instead did one with slightly oddly proportioned rear end, I think it's not bad looking just not stunning and suffers most from the small size of wheels fitted it needs something to fill out the arches.
LHD Lancias despite all the chuntering about headlights and so on are no problem in the UK I live in Lincolnshire and can get a nice move on on rural backroads with the lights that it has (better than many other lancias I've had/have, about 1000% better than dip on any Beta coupé/hpe), however I don't believe that any of the current range, particularly given the higher value of the euro recently, have sufficient uniqueness to make them worth the hassle of importing etc. if buying new.

Tomorrow I will go to work in my 1981 Beta coupe. I can't buy a new Lancia here in the U.S. and presumably never will be able to again.

I just got back from a short stay in London where I saw a Lybra wagon parked on a street (South Kensington area) and an obviously well-loved Delta Integrale speeding down Fulham Road I think it was.

I've never seen the Kappa coupe in the metal. I've seen a few of the sedans (in Paris I think it was) which are entirely forgettable looking--as bland as a cheap Chevrolet. I believe the Kappa coupe had the same front end. That kills it right there.

I saw no Theses this year. I saw two last year.

Somebody in the Marais district of Paris has a well-loved Thema which I saw this year and last, looking like a new car. I saw very few Lybras in Paris this year. I saw fewer Ypsilons than I saw last year.

It kind of looks to me like Lancia is winding down in the market already.

"Speeding"? SPEEDING?? Hopefully one of our customers!

Not in this God-forsaken police state! The police appear to have virtually unlimited resources to harass motorists, yet apparently no-one to deal with the pond-life scum who make running my business more of an uphill job than it needs to be.
