William, count me in on the rev error, also witnessed on my car using a digital counter. I never did actually try to sort it out. Don't know if this info is of any use, but I do have an additional ground wire from the (S1) acqua/temp/olio unit fixed to the dashboard through one of the bolts of the rev unit.
