Folks,
Any information on the value of a 1300HF with a 1200HF engine. Seems like a nice car in good condition. Anyone knows of recent sales in auctions or otherwise to get a feel for the value?
Thanks.
Value for a 1300HF?
Re: Value for a 1300HF?
Difficult to judge, two were advertised in Italy over the last year. Prices were, I think at least, Euro 9,000 and Euro 14,000. I guess most depends on originality, period mods and possible racing history etcetera. Both disappeared quite quickly so I guess they were indeed sold.

Re: Value for a 1300HF?
Everything depends on originality or pedigree. An original car with correct paint ( including blue and yellow stripes PAINTED on) correct interior and engine (check engine number on flyweelcover near starter engine. 818.140......... for 1200HF and 818.340........... for 1300HF can fetch anything up to 15000euro's in Italy where this car is still competive in historic rallying and a well known classic. Outside of Italy it is more what somebody is willing to give as the HF in its original form is an unknown type which for most onlookers is just a normal coupe' without bumpers and thus not more valuable than the normal car. Beware for replicas though!
As owner of a 1216HF I would say that the extra power of the 1300Hf engine is worth the slightly lesser exclusivity.

Re: Value for a 1300HF?
Thanks for all the information. I am almost certain that the car is not a replica - but it does have some strange things associated with it - it is a 1300HF chassis with a 1200HF engine, it is registered as a 1966 - which is too early for a 1300HF. The vendor also seems to belive it is worth more than the amounts seen in this thread. While I am tempted by the car - I will probably not get it because of these issues.
Re: Value for a 1300HF?
If you want to know some details you can e-mail me personally. I,ve some 8 years restauration experience with my 1200 HF and might know the pittfalls. Anyway,1966 is to early for any Fulvia 1300. Do you have the chassis and engine numbers in your possession? A copy of the Itallian documents can also tell you the story. Even better is to go to the ASI.it site and try to find the 'elenco storico'. In this register you can find the data from when the car came out of the factory and were it went. If it stayed in Italy you can find every owner till now and if it went abroad it will show that as well. If i'm not mistaken this service costs 5 euro's per query.
Re: Value for a 1300HF?
Apologies for going a bit off topic but what is the ASI.it site, and where do I find it ?? I tried this (www.ASI.it) and got the Italian Space Angency. I am chasing the history of my car and this sounds as if it would help.

William,
Thanks for the info. I have to go out of the country for about 2 weeks on a business trip. When I come back, if the car is still available and a price I am comfortable with can be agreed on - I will contact you.
Ron.

This link might prove more succesfull :
http://www.asifed.it/
I will try to find the part William suggested as well! As there is more, I want to know about my cars history as well!
I do know of a similar service of the ACI (Automobile Club d'Italia: see www.aci.it)
where a PRA (Pubblico Registro Automobilistico, see: http://www.aci.it/wps/portal/_s.155/1057
does tell you more about the cars history, at just 5,62 euro!
Have fun digging into your cars history!
