I've noticed that my '67 Fulvia coupe 1.3s wanders in the front end. I think it's the tie rod ends. Anyone have a source for replacements? I'm going to be in Italy for 2 weeks, so I can pick some up! Thanks Dan

Most of the times the cause is one or more of the tie rod ends.
There are more possible causes on a series 1 coupe:
- central track rod
- steering idler box
- bushes of the lower wishbones (I remake those out of POM)
- bushes of upper wishbones (theoretical as I have never seen bad ones there)

Very stable plastic which is also available with a percentage of PTFE (Teflon). Ideal for bushes.

will the car have the same ride as with polyurethane bushes?

I am not aware of any polyurethane bushes. I only know of polyurethane silentblocs as used on S2 and S3 Fulvia's.
In general hard bushes (like POM bushes) give a better ride and better handling than all the rubber like materials. It is for that reason that I make POM bushes rather than convert to the S2/3 silentbloc's.

Whilst checking over my Fulvia Coupe last year, I applied a little leverage to the upper wishbones (1600 S2 like S1).
I was surprised how compliant they were; the movement would cause significant camber and/or caster change in hard cornering. As I use rather sticky tyres, the effect would of course, be exacerbated.
At Evolution Engineering we made some new solid bushes from Nylatron; these replace the rubber part plus the original nylon inners. We retained the original steel parts, suitably cleaned up - it's amazing what thirty years of road gunge can do!
We also did away with the rather nice ground washers (the rubber at the end is a factor too), making the bushes a precise fit in length terms.
The steering is now sharper.

You said you did away with the ground washers. I have been wondering how orginally this rubber + washer fixes the position of the upper wishbone. I am not impressed by it due to the softness of that thin layer of rubber.
