Steel Factory Wheel arches

Hi again ,

My car has a set of Factory fitted arches that steel ? They have red paint inside them and are larger especially at the front than say those used on the HF1600 cars .
When delivered to the original owner here in Melbourne Australia they were painted Black .
We have since taken them off the car in its restoration thats how we found the red paint inside .
They were a bit of a mystery but I have seen them in pictures of early team cars that were painted entirely red .
Do you think these arches are rare and if so worthy of taking a mold of to make glass ones from . They are very well made even if Steel ! They are yet to go back on the car and would like to know what you guys think .
