Dear friends,
We found a Fulvia Zagato 1.3, wherefrom they told us that it is a “Daytona”-model (referring to the class-victory of the Fulvia Sport during the 24 Hours of Daytona in ’69). Herunder the references of the car:
Type: 818.650
Chassis: 818.650 *001166
Motor: MO I 818.303 & 52848
Targa: PT 147409
Anno: 1971
Actual color: orange
The engine is running and equipped with Dellorto carburettors (witch is not standard).
So, the question is: does the Fulvia Sport Daytona have existed or not ?
If yes, what are the specifications of this special serie ?
Lancia regards from Belgium, Erik

Fulvia Sport special serie Daytona ????
Re: Fulvia Sport special serie Daytona ????
Hello Erik!
Yes, a special model of the Fulvia Sport called "Daytona" exists. In the year 1969 it was used in this famous race. I have only one information that the Fulvia Sport Daytona had an engine with 1600ccm.
Best regards
Torsten

Re: picture of the "Daytona"
I think I am not the only Z owner who wants those headlight covers....but couldn'd afford them if they were ever available. It certainly takes away a great degree of "strangeness" to the front of the car.

Author: william (---.direct-adsl.nl) wrote " on 10.20.07 "since there were just about 27 competitiones made & even less still exist ( Daytona car is no longer alive) the chances of finding 1 for sale are slim.
Now we know that the original Daytona car no longer exists, so this "new-looking" photo must be of either another "Racer" or a "made to look like a Racer". In any case, it is stunning.
