I did tie the rope onto the clutch-lever near the gearbox, lead it through my closed hood towards my driverside window, lead it trhough the window and was able to pull it as it was.
The spring on the lever coused it to return so i could swith gears.
Ok, it was not an easy ride but it worked!
I got upto the 3rd gear and drove in this gear home. Every time i had to stop i pushed het gearknop into neutral and had to pull the rope again to forward in gears.
I hope you have some impression now.

I cannot post photo's on this site otherwise i would make some photo's.

The window-wippers are sold by Martin willems of with you can find a shortcut to his site above on this site.
He sels the pairs for €12 ,- and that is the wippers including the steal back!
So you don't have to change rubber, something i have done earlier and worked also.
You can go to your local carpart-shop and buy a regulair pair and then change the rubber on your old set.
I have those mounted on my Fulvia now and have an orriginal pair (the one's from Martin) for spare in the back of my car.
Hope to have enlightened you with this story,
Jasper.
