Very Strange PROBLEM !!(Delta HPE HF '99)

Hi everybody,

I've got the following problem:

I drive my car for only 2 days (weekend) a week. Everytime I start the car
it has problems with runnig steadily and or while driving it acts like it
has too much fuel(when i press the gas pedal the car slows down instead off
quikkening its pase).
Also when slowing down to turn or in front of trafic lights the engine just
stops!
When I park the car for about 15 minutes after driving for about 15 min,
whith the problems,and I then restart all the problems are gone!
The VAE valve has already been replaced and for a couple of weeks(4) it ran
without trouble.
So it was with the old VAE when it was cleaned it went good for about two
weeks.

Does anybody has any idea?!

It has been already 4 times in the garage for this problem!They can't seem
to salve it.

Hello Peter,

It seems I have the same problem with my Delta Integrale. The car is mostly used once a week for short trips and stays the rest of the time in a warmed garage. Still don't know the solution, so I am interested in the reactions on your question.

Maybe a shortage in the wiring of this valve, or a leak in the air intake system. Although that doesn't explain why it should run fine after cleaning, maybe it is the reason for getting dirty anyway.......
I think it is probably a leak, or something is causing it to clough up (carterventilation?)

Hay Guys,

Same for me, on mu Delta 2.0 Turbo '94 I had the same problem:

Doesn't turn verry smooth untill it has reached normal temp. after that no problems!

When you try to accelerate too quickly it's like the rev limiter jumps on...

The engine is now completely checked so I'll let you know when it will run again and if the problem still stays...

sorry ik ga dit ff op zijn nederlands doen.

het probleem wat jullie hebben zit in de ontsteking. waarschijnlijk heefd de moter een fout melding gegeven en staat de ontsteking in zijn noodprogramma.
ik heb dit zelf ook gehad. het is makkelijk op te lossen want hij hoefd alleen maar even bij de erkende lancia garage aan de computer en het probleem zal weg zijn.

wie kan er voor mij een paar vette velgen regelen voor onder mijn lancia delta 2.0 hpe uit '96 ?
