Bonjour,
I has some trouble with my Fkaminia 2.8 3C GT. The motor is "hunting" when the opening of throttles is small, the motor is hot or cold. It has about 90 000 km.
Who has an idea?
Thank you very much
Best regards
Jice
Flaminia carburation
Re: Flaminia carburation
Consider something in the distributor. I feel like an idiot having pulled the carburetor off my berlina when it was having a terrible time on a small throttle opening. A spare carburetor resulted in absolutely no improvement. A new distributor rotor yielded miracles. The fact that your behavior is the same with the engine hot or cold is what makes me think of the distributor.
Have you made certain there is no play in the throttle linkage between the three Webers and that they are all opening at the same time?

Re: Flaminia carburation
Very thanks. I 'll focuse my attention to the distributor. And I'll give you the result.
Re: Flaminia carburation
If you can get hold of a stroboscopic timing light with built in retardation dialer, you can check whether your distributor is the cause.
At 1000 RPM you should see the timing mark if you set the retadation on the timing light to 4 degrees
Else adjust your ignition timing to that value (engine type 826.100)
If the ditributor is at fault you can see the timing mark moving fom left to right against the fixed marking on the clutch cover.
If the mark is steady against the marker on the clutch housing the fault is elsewhere.
