Time and date set for Lybra

Unread post by SVR »

Hello !
I have Lancia Lybra, 2.0, 2000 year. I use this car in Moscow, Russia. I have the following question. How can I set the time and date ? My control panel which navigation system and telephone card slot. Using it, I can only set time zone. But I cannot change hours, minutes (they are wrong too) and date. How to solve this problem ?

Hi,
I tired looking at mine, and when the setting is in English, the only time zones that you can choose are CET/GMT/Japan and US time zones...its eems they are set through the radio RDS signal...I don't know if set in French or German perhaps other zones would pop up? it takes three minutes to reporgram a lnaguage so haven't treid; I'll ask for you on the German language pages and see if we get help,
greetings from Geneva, Switzerland

The problem is not only in hours indication, the minutes are wrong too. So, the time zones change wouldn't solve the problem. And what about the date ? I will be very thankful, if you and our German friends will help me.
Sergey.

We have a 2.0 20v Station from 2000 with no navagation so i hope the following will apply (maybe you have different buttons):

If i remember right you do the following:
FIRST: press Setup, this should open a list on the display, a column of languages down the right side and the left side lists various different details, like time, date, alarm, speed limit etc.
SECOND: Rotate the right control button (slowley) until the option (example time) you want is a different colour on the screen.
THIRD: press in the same right control button, the display should change to the selection you want and for example the time would have the followig 00-00 with the first two Zero's flashing. Then rotate to the time to the hours you want, press in the button again and it moves to the second set of Zero's so you can set the minutes. Then press the button in again and it will return to the main set up meno.
LASTLY: Repeat above for any other details you want to change (date for example).

I hope this helps...

Regards,
Martin

Lots of thanks, but navigation block has the different menu system. It has no time setup at all ! I think, it compares the date with GPS…

Hi,

you thinking right !
Lybra with NAVI & phone option do not have date and time setting option. It takes it from GPS.

When I have bought mine ('00 2.0 SW), it was without NAVI CD inside and date was "--.--.--" always.
Time and date appeared only when I have inserted NAVI CD...

But no possibility to adjust the time - just to choose time zone from the list...

I have got info from our Lancia dealer, what Lancia NAVI CD consists not only maps, but NAVI system firmware too. So new region NAVI CD could offer new time zones.

I'm living in Lithuania (CET + 1) and half of the year I can enjoy right time by seting zone "x" (don't remeber which now) + "summer time" option in winter... :)

So I think, the only way to solve time issue, is to get "right region" NAVI CD. Or try to play with different time zones and "summer time" option ;)

Good luck !

You are absolutly right ! But I live in Moscow, and Navteq doesn’t have Moscow map. It doesn’t have Moscow gmt offset too. I found the following way. I disconnected navigation CD. After this, “Time settings” option was avilable from the trip menu. I set the time, connected CD, but didn’t insert navi disk, and now I have the right time.

You have succeeded to set the date (not only the time) manualy too ?
I feel, what I still have the chance to solve this issue in "standard" way - I just need to get somehow Navi CD for Finland (Finland sits on the same time zone as Lithuania:)) - I believe Navteq should have it...

I bought a 2007 map of Finland from Navteq. It did update the system firmware for phone and other things but time zone problem is definitely still there. I don't understand what could anybody do with USA time zones with Finnish map?? I also play with daylight saving setting to get time right.

Quality of the Finnish map is really bad, as only Helsinki is covered correctly and everything else seems to be in such a low detail that cd is nearly unusable.
