Has anyone got a source for obtaining new pipes - other than Fiat who will no doubt want a fortune for them? Is the cooler and pipes the same as the fiat coupe 20vt?
Any info/advice welcome.
thanks

Re: Kappa 20v turbo oil cooler pipes
It's nice to have a car that you don't see on around every single corner, but when you need spare parts it's less cool. Because the 20v Turbo is a rare engiene (FiatCoupe or Kappa), it will be more than hard to find spareparts at other places than Fiat/Lancia dealerships.
Here in Denmark Fiat does not even have spare parts for LANCIA, because LANCIA for the past couple of years has not been officially sold here. So you have to either specially order the parts from Fiat dealerships, or buy them at one of the few places in Denmark where they have specialized in servicing LANCIA.
If Fiat services Lancia where you are located, then try to call them and ask about the FiatCoupe/Kappa 20vt comparison. If they got the parts and service both cars they gotta know, because the need to replace oilpipes is not a rare problem. I had them replaced last year, after I found some nightmarish black spots in our driveway!

Hallo KM. We havn't had Lancia in the UK since 1994, so we are in the same situation. Not helped here as there are only 4 Kappa Coupes in the UK, all private imports. But the specialists and the odd Fiat dealer are helpful. However, a company in spain "http://www.ibexparts.com" can supply the 2 oil cooler pipes for 104 euros, plus 30 euros carriage, which is much cheaper than I expect Fiat to supply them for. I have not used them before, but they seem to have been around for almost 10 years.
Black spots on the driveway not good, but better than a siezed engine!

Ibex works nicely and it is easy to use with Eper.
Even smallest parts are profitable to order from there and they send quick anwers to e-mails!

Hello Lindsay
Are you going to install the pipes yourself?
Last summer I installed a new cooler-pipe from the turbo to the cooler (a short bent pipe).
Those italian engieneers have really tried to make it as difficult as possible to make home repairs. Even when installing it from below I had to remove the turbo-shield, and before that was possible I had to loosen the aircondition-canister.
What really got me angry was that just a week before at 120.000 km service, they installed new pipes to and from the oilcooler, and they didn't notice that the cooler-pipe from the turbo was quite rusty. Would have been so easy to change that aswell when they had screwed off the oilcooler... but ohh no... I had to spend several hours on this relatively tiny operation, because I refused to hand in my car to the dealer again.
Besides from all this... its a great car!!!

Hi KM. No, no chance fitting them myself! That will be a garage job. Fortunately I have a good mechanic who knows what he is doing!
They are great cars. Sadly underrated.
