how reliable...

How reliable is a kappa turbo.
I have a chance to buy a 96 that has 120.000km with anew engine, engine mounts, turbo, clutch, shocks, Apexi you name it.
Why does it seem that all these engines last about 100.000km and that's it. Not much by todays standards.
Does a kappa suffer from electrical problems that themas seem to have ?
Any particular problems ?

Ziggy.

Regular belt changes for both 16vt and 20vt engines are essential.
If the car\'s been \'got at\', as your one sounds (Apexi), I would be careful and look for smoke when it\'s hot and been idling for 5-10mins- this shows up turbo seal wear, which is common.
I don\'t think the electrics are a problem- only as much as ALL modern cars with \'electronics\' can be.
My Kappa 20VT has covered 150kkms- has had a new turbo at 85k-ish, but not much else is wrong with it, (yet).
I recommend it.

Hmms..... I do not know why mister Nebosja is so negative....

My K 20v 155Bhp (No turbo) has done 340.000 km without:

-Overhaul
-Head gasket
-Major repairs
-With virtually no oil usage
-regular maintanance
-ON LPG/GPL

So.......come on in mister "Lancia has weak engines"

If you do regular maintanance it will last. (Seen Kappa's with 500.000Km on the odometer)
