Lancia lights up Brussels: the return of HF between rallying, performance, and the future

(+) Taking center stage at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, Lancia returns under the international spotlight with a stand that celebrates innovation and vision.

(+) On 9 January, legendary driver Miki Biasion will inaugurate the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, the competition car ready to debut in the prestigious WRC 2026.

(+) The HF family, now in full evolution, is represented by two models: the 280-hp electric Ypsilon HF, which accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, and the Ypsilon HF Line Hybrid, which brings the HF language to more accessible 110-hp powertrains.

(+) The expansion of the new Lancia showroom network in the Benelux region continues unabated, now comprising 11 dealers currently operating, 2 additional openings underway, and 15 service points.

Lancia will take part in the 102nd edition of the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, running from 9 to 18 January, playing a leading role at what is considered a prime showcase for discovering the latest developments in international automotive innovation and gaining early insight into the trends that will shape the mobility of tomorrow. The opening day, reserved for press and industry professionals, marks the start of an unmissable event which last year welcomed more than 300,000 visitors.

On the Lancia stand, designed around the brand’s minimalist, timeless design codes, the spotlight will fall on the latest creations from the Italian brand, starting with the new Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, the competition car that marks Lancia’s return to the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC 2026).

Its competitive debut will take place at the Monte Carlo Rally, the opening round of the Championship scheduled from 22 to 25 January, on the iconic French Alpine roads. This project represents a bridge between Lancia’s sporting heritage and the challenges of contemporary motorsport, with tangible investment in young talent and a clear, future-focused vision.

This approach is already evident in the success of the 2025 Trofeo Lancia, where the Ypsilon Rally4 HF has fostered a vibrant community with over 100 cars sold and more than 40 teams competing, confirming the effectiveness of the HF family development program. Alongside the new Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, the Lancia HF family also includes the Ypsilon Rally4 HF and the Ypsilon HF Racing, both designed to make rallying more accessible and affordable without compromising safety, performance, or build quality. All three models are part of the Customer Racing Programme and are available to order through the Stellantis Motorsport Racing Shop.

Also on display at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show stand are two further Lancia models proudly bearing the HF badge and the iconic red elephant, the enduring symbols that embodied the most authentic and daring sporting spirit of the Italian brand for more than sixty years. The spotlight, therefore, shines on the powerful 280-hp electric Ypsilon HF, finished in Arancio Lava with a black roof, and on the dynamic 110-hp Ypsilon HF Line Hybrid, in Bianco Quarzo with a black roof. Both road-going versions deliver the authentic emotions that only a Lancia can offer. After all, the development of the HF family was supervised by Miki Biasion, a true motorsport legend who, throughout the 1980s and 1990s, forged an inseparable bond with Lancia, becoming the most successful Italian rally driver of all time. For that reason, on the opening day, 9 January, it will be the two-time World Champion himself to officially unveil the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, creating a moment of intense emotion.

Motorsport activity remains a crucial testbed for transferring technological and safety improvements to production vehicles. This is clearly visible in the 280-hp Ypsilon HF, the brand’s first high-performance, 100% electric model. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, is equipped with a 54 kWh battery (with a WLTP range of around 370 km), adds 100 km of range in just 10 minutes of fast charging, and incorporates several race-inspired solutions, from 355 mm Alcon brakes and a Torsen limited-slip differential to Level 2 ADAS.
Further information on the Lancia WRC2 Program and the HF family is available at the dedicated link.

On public days, visitors will also be able to admire a Ypsilon LX - the richest and most comprehensive version - finished in Verde Giada with a black roof and equipped with a 156 hp/115 kW electric motor and a 54 kWh battery. This configuration delivers a range of up to 419 km (combined WLTP cycle) and fast charging times of 27 minutes from 20% to 80%, or 100 km of range in just 10 minutes.

Lastly, it is worth recalling that the Belgium-Luxembourg region plays a key role in the brand’s internationalization strategy, which initially foresees a network of 70 new dealers across as many major European cities. The first markets involved in this relaunch of the brand include France, Spain, Belgium-Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Germany. In the Belux region in particular, there are already 11 active Lancia showrooms, with 2 more currently opening and 15 service points in operation.

(+) Until January 18, visitors can also discover other models from the HF family at the stand: the 280-hp electric Ypsilon HF (0–100 km/h in 5.6 seconds), the 110-hp hybrid Ypsilon HF Line, which brings the HF design language to a more accessible powertrain, and the Ypsilon LX in an electric configuration, the top-of-the-range version.

The Brussels Motor Show 2026, one of the most popular events on the European automotive scene, is officially open. Now in its 102nd edition and running from January 9 to 18, the Motor Show aims to surpass the 300,000 visitors recorded in 2025, a testament to the robust and wide-ranging interest from both the public and industry professionals.

In this setting, Lancia presents a stand dedicated to the evolution of the Ypsilon family, an embodiment of the brand’s many facets—from contemporary elegance to sportiness and the world of racing. Today, during the opening day reserved for the international press and industry stakeholders, Lancia held its press conference, during which Roberta Zerbi outlined the main pillars of the brand’s relaunch strategy for 2026, with a particular focus on product, and commercial development across European markets to strengthen Lancia’s international presence. Within this framework, Lancia’s return to motorsport was also presented as an integral part of a long-term industrial and product strategy.

During the event, Miki Biasion also took the stage and, together with Roberta Zerbi, presented the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, the competition car developed for Lancia’s debut in the WRC2 in 2026. The project represents the top tier of a complete rally family and supports the brand’s ongoing evolution, running alongside the development of road models and paving the way for the next phases of Lancia’s growth plan.

Roberta Zerbi commented: “The Brussels Motor Show is an important opportunity to share the progress of Lancia’s relaunch and outline the priorities that will guide the brand in 2026. We are working on a solid and structured development plan that combines commercial growth, the strengthening of our European network and a renewed commitment to motorsport. Our return to WRC2 is part of this vision: a strategic choice, fully consistent with our DNA, that supports the evolution of the brand and underpins its future ambitions.”

Miki Biasion comments: “If you dreamed of the racetrack as a child, then your dream was red like a Ferrari. But if you dreamed of becoming a rally driver, then you dreamed of Lancia. I am honored to have worked alongside the Lancia and Stellantis Motorsport teams for the fine-tuning of the HF family, in both its racing and road versions. Together we’ve proved that a glorious motorsport past can still inspire the future.”

Lancia and the WRC2: a structured project

The Lancia WRC2 program was developed within Stellantis Motorsport and built on a shared industrial and technical approach with the Group’s main rally programs. The Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale is a completely new car, developed through an intensive testing program on asphalt and gravel, carried out on Alpine roads and the Balocco circuit, with the aim of setting the benchmark in the Rally2 category.

In 2026, Lancia will make its official debut in the WRC2, competing in at least 8 events starting with the Monte-Carlo Rally. The brand is also set to take part in the FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) and the main national championships, including those in Italy, France, Spain, and Belgium. The first customer deliveries are scheduled for the first quarter of 2026, and demand has already exceeded expectations: over 50 cars have been ordered, with an impressive 30 units sold in a single day during the official presentation at Satory on November 19.

The Rally2 HF Integrale sits at the top of a comprehensive rally family, which also includes the Rally4 HF and the Ypsilon HF Racing, both part of the Customer Racing Program and available through the Stellantis Motorsport Racing Shop. This pathway is designed to support drivers and teams through a structured growth process, from the entry-level categories to the professional tier.

The HF family at the Brussels stand

Alongside the Rally2 HF Integrale, the Lancia stand also showcases two road models from the HF family: the 280-hp electric Ypsilon HF, the brand’s first high-performance 100% electric model, and the 110-hp hybrid Ypsilon HF Line, which brings the HF design language to a more accessible powertrain. Both benefit from the application of motorsport expertise to the road in terms of driving dynamics, setup, and technical solutions.

Starting tomorrow, with the doors open to the general public, visitors will also be able to admire a Ypsilon LX, the version that best embodies the ‘pop elegance’ of the range, in an electric configuration delivering 156 hp (115 kW), equipped with a 54-kWh battery, offering up to 419 km of WLTP range and fast charging capability that allows 100 km of range to be recovered in just 10 minutes or a charge from 20% to 80% in 27 minutes.

Internationalization and commercial network

Lancia’s presence at the Brussels Motor Show forms part of a broader internationalization strategy, which includes an initial network of 70 new showrooms in major European cities. The first markets involved in the brand’s relaunch are France, Spain, Belgium-Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Germany. In particular, the Belgium-Luxembourg region now includes 11 open showrooms, with two more set to open soon, and 15 service centers
