Looking for your honest opinion

Unread post by puritan_1988 »

Hello all,

I am new to this forum. My name is Rob and I am looking to buy my first Lancia Fulvia, actually my first classic car.
As I am new to this, I could really use your advice and honest opinion..I am looking for a nice car just to drive. Do not want a museum piece. I have found two which are about in my price range and I am very curious what you all think and what you are looking at/for.

Looking forward to hear from you

My general thoughts on the purchase of a Fulvia: The mechanical upgrades of the second series can make a compelling case, but you have to see which one visually appeal to you more. I find the steering wheel, instruments and green carpet of the series 3 as being a bit objectionable.
Overall, a good first classic: solid mechanicals and parts are readily available.

Thanks so much for your reply!
Any specific points to look at when I go for a testdrive?
