Membrane for heating valve - part 2

Unread post by Overknasten »

Hi again. Just received the membrane from the french supplier but to my big surprise it doesn´t fit either!!! I am very surprised and a bit frustrated now. The membranes I keep getting are ø45mm OD - the one I need is ø41mm OD - but what kind of valve do I have if it isn´t the one in all the catalog?

I simply cannot understand from what deep drawer in the Lancia factory they picked this particulary heating valve, or maybe my car was on the assembly line during the annual christmas party?
I will make some kind of a DIY solution with an o-ring and a cut out of the centre of one of the membranes I now have in stock.
The french webpage is super nice and fast to deliver so no blame to them.

Do anyone know what valve it is that I have on my Lancia?
According to
Les Joly's Autos (www.pieces-fulvia.com)
It is not standard and that is that.

Is it made of plastic or metal alloy?
If plastic it is from a Fulvia S2 berlina. And probably used in more cars.

Ah. That one is different from the S1 heater cocks which are metal. If you cannot get the proper size, an option is to get the metal S1 heater cock. I never tried but it may work.
