Hi,
at first I'm sorry for my bad English.
I have Lancia Thema 2.0 i.e 16v 1991 and few days ago the heating system has broken. I was driving when heating system suddenly started to work with maximum power (I mean power of fan, regulator of temperature was in working condition). I have tried to decrease the turns of fan through its regulator but it have not given any response. After that I removed 4th (from left side ) an disable the system.
Next time when I pluged the relay, the system stoped to work. Indicators of tempreture & power of fan begun to show only minimum values. Regulators of temperature and power of fan didn't give any response. But when I unplug and plug the relay, idicator of power of fan showed a value which showing when you press the "Automatic" button for a short time (fan at this time do not wrok) and after that showed a minimum value again.
What is might happened and from which place should I start seeking the trouble? I'm will be glad for any your suggestions.
Sincerely,
Rustam Bogubaev
Thema's Automatic Heating System don't want to work
Re: Thema's Automatic Heating System don't want to work
If I understand you correctly, your problem is the fan control on your automatic heating system is not working. And when on the fan runs at full speed all the time? If this is so I had a similar problem with my climate control on my 16v turbo se, I found one of the earthings behind the instrument panel (sppedo/revcounter) had worked loose. There are several earths all on the one earth point. Hope this helps!
Re: Thema's Automatic Heating System don't want to work
Hi Mark,
Thanks for your advise. My problem is similar to problem which explained in this topic http://www.viva-lancia.com/lancia_fora/ ... =527&t=526 . I still have not found any solution, but I thiank that I on a half way to solve it.
I have removed a Speed Governor & Resistor (Prod. No's: 82431517 for a Resistor, 82430687 for a Speed Governor) from the heater and all buttons on the controll panel started to work (of course fan is not working, but it is enough for an air incoming with a wished temperature on a speeds over that 60km/h). So I'm going to replace this unit and I hope that problem will be solved.
Do you know something about replacements for the parts mentioned above?
Rustam

Rustam,
A friend had a problem with his heating system and the radiator fan kept working. After connecting the car to the diagnostic equipment they recharged the A/C system and it cured all.
