where is the ecu on thema turbo serie II ?

so that is the question, where is the ecu on my turbo serie II. i need to know the reference number of it. other way to find it ?

Hello Kassus,
I assume you mean a 16V pre 1992 car. There are two ECUs - on a UK car they are at the left end of the dashboard underneath and behind it. There is a slim trim piece held in by two screws. Remove that and there is a bolt that undoes the bracket for the ECUs. The Bosch one controls the fuel injection and the Marelli one looks after the ignition timing. On your car they may be at the left end of course.
If the car is a S3 version there is only one ECU (Bosch Motronic) in the same location.
The ECU version numbers seem to vary a bit but probably not too different from year to year. My car is an S3 so can get you the version of that if any use.

Hi Kassus,
Sorry but I don't know if it will be in the same place or swopped over. You can feel the metal box if you reach up behind the dashboard. On my car the fuse box is at the passenger side and the ecus are at the drivers side. So probably yours will be the same - fuse box at one side and ecus at the other.

on LHD thema turbo 16v (S2) , the ecu(Bochs Jetronic) is located under the dashboard(right side) and the ignition ecu (marelli microplex) is located outside in the engine bay, left side and next to wipers engine. (it controls the ignition timing and overboost)
