red-hot

After a long highway drive last night, i smelled some burning plastic under my hood. It was quite dark, and upon opening the hood, i discovered the manifold was red-hot. Is this normal ? I was driving very slowly, 90 km/h average, not really using the turbo.

Hello,
Have been testing this - mine never gets red hot. I thrashed my car on a motorway for several miles then stopped and checked. Also did same then sat with it idling for 5 minutes but still not red hot.

thanks for trying anyway! I tried it myself again, but i can't get it red-hot anymore..
Called the dealer, they said it is possible, but not normal for slow speeds.
