The Interior is now completely in place except for the panels on the dashboard. It turned out that there still is a connector missing from the drivers-seat. We traced back this wiring in the emblema car, and the additional wires originate from a connector of the dashboard wiring located on the passenger side. The executive car simply has empty positions in this same connector. Unfortunately, the dashboard wiring after this connector has the same difference! It lacks these wires in the executive!

My guess is that these serve for communication of the memory function between seat-steering wheel and mirrors. So now I am doubting if I try to add this wiring which seems to be quite complex, or just have a littlebit less functionality (other than that, the seats work perfectly).

One inconvenient thing showed up when the doorpanels were replaced (also in the doors wiring is different! for instance the emblema has a relay in the doors and extra wiring to the mirrors): each time ignition is turned on, the side mirrors go to an extreme position, and have to be adjusted back to their correct position. Do you have an idea how to solve that?

Anybody an idea what to do about the mirrors that automatically move into their extreme positions when ignition is turned on? I guess it has to do with the emblema memory function that is not working fully correctly either due to missing electric wiring or wrong body computer. I thnin for now I am simply going to disconnect the mirrors completely.

Is there any risk involved when I would replace the body computer of the executive with the one of the embema (it might be a solution for above problem)? Is the key code programmed in the body computer?

The body computer has nothing to do with the mirrors. It's the control unit under the drivers seat that sends info via cunbus to the control unit in door to adjust the mirror. So the problem can be in the drivers seat control unit or quite often the problem are dirty sensors in the mirrors, try to connect to the door control unit via multiecuscan and look how the position info is changing in the mirror. If it's jumping than the problem is the sensor. If not than something in the control unit. You should also realize that the software in older seat control unit is different than in new ones. For example new control unit changes the position from R right after switching D. Old one is waiting and if you close the mirror in that time than it doesn't position back and if you close it while changing the position than it can't stop and goes right to infinite.

hmm, sounds like something is wrong with the control unit in the seats. I did not exange the mirrors, and in "old" executive configuration they were working fine. I But first I will indeed check the position values in multiecuscan.

Thanks for indicating where to look for the issue!

Addition: It works now! You mentioning the position sensors pointed me in the right direction: the Executive mirrors are much simpler (no sensors), so when replaced by the Emblema mirrors, everything worked perfectly! Next up is the steering wheel adjustment.
