Von Executive nach Emblema umbauen

Hallo! Hat jemand Erfahrung damit?

Alle Teile habe ich schon, und ich hab erfunden das die Kablung leider anders ist zwishen die beide versionen. Ich weiss noch nicht ob ich die ganze kablung wechsle onder einfach extra anschluss mache fur die Sitze. Wissen Sie wo ich mehr daran halte sollte? Wie functionierts mit body computer, airbags, und so weiter...

Hi,
it's possible. All the cables are identical, only some of them are missing in executive, for example, for the rear climate control panel. Also prepaid parking sensors, fog lights etc. But you will discover a problem that most of the stuff won't work after connecting. You would need to recode the bodycomputer and I'm afraid that I'm the only one who can provide that for you, also the Lancia dealership can't do that. Right tomorrow will come my friend to me to recode him the alarm, rear climate control and other stuff he has changed from emblema to his executive. All the equipment has been changed.

I am missing some connectors at least under the seats. Also the connector to the Bose amplifier is different compared to the standard one. Did your friend alter the existing wire loom, or did he install the complete wiring from an Emblema?

The car already has foglights and full navigation, and I am not planning to install alarm or parking sensors. So most important items left are the seats and steering wheel adjustment, and Bose audio. Do you know if I run in to problems when I install the airbags (from the Emblema its seats into the Executive)?

He has changed everything, but not sure if also the wiring. Maybe I won't forget to ask him hh. I can remember that the bose installation was extremely hard what he didn't expect. Airbag connectors are the same in executive and also emblema. The difference is in the car years, before and after the facelift. But only on front seats, others are all the same. Which connector do you miss?

I'm very curious about the wiring! Connectors for the heated seats are missing, for instance. And if I remember correctly (I will have a look again today) the main seat connector is the same, but has more wires attached to it.

The Emblema is 2002, the Executive is a 2003 car, so that should pose no problem.

But is bodycomputer recoding needed for all parts, or just for some? As said, navigation and forglight are there already, and parking sensor I don't have.
Anyway nice that you have developed that expertise, just a shame that Slovakia isn't close by

Oooooh I'm really sorry, the friend was here and I've forgotten to ask him about the bose. No the body computer coding is not necessary for everything, for example if you change something like the seats they will work automatically immediately. Only when you add something, for example the bose system would work but in normal mode not in bose mode, you won't have there bose logo and you would be able to turn off the loudness. Please check the seat wiring, because as I know they should be the same. Only the control unit in the seat (under the seat) has different software in it and is communicating via canbus so the cables should be the same, I've tested also the seat changing to comfort massage one and everything was working immediately. Don't be afraid when you find that the passenger seat control unit has 3 connectors and there are only two on the cables, it's only because the body of the control units is the same in both seats but only two connectors are used in the passengers one. One is not connected. It was just an example.

That's great, so most should work! I did a better check on the wiring, and at least for the center console and rear seats everything is indeed already there. Next time I will try the front seats to see if they work.

So the Bose system might be the most difficult part as the wiring has to be cut and a visit to Slovakia might be needed . Maybe I'll try to make an interconnection to the original Executive connectors to try if I can still control it sufficiently. That way I can convert it back if it doesn't work anymore at all. In the mean time I,ll install the Bose speakers so sound will improve anyway a bit.

Yes for the rear everything there of course only the connector between back and bottom part is different but it's on the seats itself. Another hint is when changing the bose, remove the old tweeters because they are than changing the whole impedance and the sound is terrible.
