injectors ?? and adjusting 16v tappet clearence

Car:1991 Thema 16v Pininfarina (wagon), 300.000 + kilometers !

Problem 1.: After having run completely out of fuell I filled her up with fuel again.
Alas it only runs very bad or not at all.
Suspecting a clogged fuel system I checked and noticed I still have fuel in the accumulator in the engine compartment just before the injectorrail (hope I describe this correct as Englisch is not my native language)

This could mean that the injectors are clogged but how do I reach them as they are covered by the "lid" on the air intake manifold which only comes off if I remove the 4 connecting hoses (which I can't reach)
any clever ideas ?

Problem 2 : I have to replace my cambelt soon now, I even bought the belt and pully . On my former 8v car I replaced this belt and took the oppurtunity to set the tappet clearence with special tools borrowed from my friendly Fiat dealer

Does the 16v have self adjusting valve tappets or is this also a manuel task and do I need special tooling for this too ?
