Hi all,
My oil pressure meter reads, 4 bar idle(1250rpm) when cold, when it gets hotter ~70 deg C, at idle the pressure get below 0.5 bar. And first when the rpm is above 2500 the pressure rises quick to 2-3 bar.
The engine has only run 120000 km. The maximum pressure is 6 bar.
Is it the pump that is leaking, or is the pressuresensor defect?
Best regards

Engine oil pressure
Re: Engine oil pressure
I have the same thing with mine Turbo 16V, very low pressure at idle with hot engine. It can be related to oil quality, i have earlier tried 0-30 fylly synt. oil on my engine, and then I had to go over 2000 rpm for full pressure at ca 90'C. Then I changed to 10-60 racing oil, and at the same temp I had full pressure at only ca. 1300 rpm.....I also hate the small oil filters these days, but I suppose Lancia has tested them and found them big enough..!! Old oil also gives lower pressure.bjarke wrote:

Re: Engine oil pressure
Hi all,
I have now tried with a analog manometer and the reading is from 1.6 to 8 bar... without changing anything, so the sensor/connection is surely wrong.
