Water pump housings

Unread post by LanciaFin »

My 819.300 engine is missing a complete water pump. Are the housings interchangeable between Flavia-engines, or do I have to specifically look for a housing for this engine? The pumps itself as well as the pulleys are probably interchangeable through all Flavia-models?

In the parts book, the housing has a 819.200 number so there will be a difference.

If you are interested the housing for 819 looks like available on ebay. I don't know about the Flavia(s) cross compatibility of the pump and pulley

I just searched the shed, and I found a complete pump that comes from a running Flavia 2000 LX that was parted by me some 7 years ago.
According to the parts book the origine is 819.200 so it should fit any S2 Flavia.(not the latest Lancia 2000)
Send me a mail if interested.

This is solved, I have now a pump with housing. Thanks Lucas!

I'll install new bearings and seal. This seal will probably do the job:

Don't forget to flatten the contact area of the impeller. See my earlier posting.

Thanks for the reminder. Initially it looks though, that there's no need for flattening, the impeller is in quite good condition. I think that even a badly scored impeller could be saved with brazing and machining. The seal seems to have been (and may still be) widely used in cars made by Fiat-group and Lada.
