RE Dedra Speedo [or lack of it!]

Hi Everyone,
Has anyone experienced any speedo failures on dedras, if so what is the cause? ive replaced the pick up at the gearbox end still no joy, could it be the head, any ideas greatly apprieciated.

was it a new pick up or second hand .it too could be faulty. if it was new it will be the motor at back of speedo.similar aged tempras and tipos have same motor in there clocks and can be transplanted quite easily into yours if you are struggling to find a dedra oneMike C. wrote:

I have the same problem. I bought a used speedo from Germany. Installed it, and everything worked fine.
But not for long! After about 8 months, it failed again. :(
Now I'm driving without. Trying to find a Tipo, Tempra or a Dedra to give me some new parts.
So if anyone knows about some spareparts for me, I would be very happy. Mail me.
