Injection warning light dedra integrale

Unread post by Vegar »

Hello.
I have a '93 dedra integrale with original engine.
I have a problem with the warning light for the injection lighting up quite often. At the same time I can feel the engine is not running right. This usually last for a few seconds, then the engine runs fine again and the light goes off.

Anyone have an idea as to what might be wrong?

A thought is that maybe one of the sensors to the ECU might be giving some bad signal, maybe the lambda sensor is worn out?
Is this engine very sensitive to fuel quality?

I would be most thankful for any ideas of what can cause this, and suggestions how to solve it.

Thanks,
Vegar.

My Dedra 2.0 ie 1993 sometimes lights the injector warning light after start. It sometimes stays on for two or three minutes, then extinguishes. When it started to happen first, I put some injector cleaner into the petrol tank and it seemed to clear the problem for a while. I don't know if this is of any help.

Hi all,

I have a Dedra 1.6.i.e. and my car does the same thing. When that injection light goes on, the motor seems to lose power. Anyone knows a way to solve this? (besides taking the car to the doctor).

Thanks in advance

My dedra 1.8 ie cat had same problem caused(i discovered)by temperature water sensor (you need a lancia data tester) that don't read correct water temperature at start .
After replacement no more iniection light on abnormal.

My problem seems also to be the water temp sensor. Found out by plugging in a 1K resistor into the connector. Then the warning light goes out and the engine seems to work ok.
Thanks to everyone who answered.
