Hello again antonios,
Could you please kindly direct me to where the electronic fuel pump and the fuel filter of dedra (1.6ie 1990)is. I seem not to find it in the engine compactment. Somebody say it is in the booth or....please advice.
Thank you.

The fuel pump is in the ful tank and it is accessible from the booth. You have to remove first the spare wheel. But i also advice you not to do this kind of work by your shelf. It is too dangerous. Try a service dealer. Don't take the risk of "killing" your self and burning your car. The risk of explosion is to high. The position of the fuel filter is a great mystery. I don't know where it is. I think there is a fuel filter (big black box) below the front left light in the engine compartment. My advice about going to a dealer for that should be taken seriously for the fuel filter too.

Hello Antonios,
Thanks for your advice. I shall do as you advice and hopefully get it checked (fuel pump) and replace the filter if I am lucky to find it somewhere. Have to ever changed your fuel filter or has it been always changed by the service station? well, I guess I´ll mannage---at least with the service man.
Have a nice day!

Fuel filter on Dedra is a throw away canister type, raise rear of vehicle and support, the fuel filter can be found from under the car just forward of the rear suspension on the right hand side of the car (trace the pipes going to the front of the car and the return pipes) , it usually has a cover over it,
undo the fixing bolt then undo the pipes, when refitting, note there is an arrow on the casing showing direction of flow ensure this is fitted correctly, check the pipe connections very carefully after replacement as they are very prone to leaking after being disturbed, you may have to replace the copper washers to get a good seal.

Be warned !! petrol will spurt out when you undo connections as it is under pressure.

Otherwise it is a straightforward job,

Good Luck
