Hello all,
I've an '85 Delta GT1600 (carb model).
Does anyone know if the front seats from a later GTie would fit straight in without modification to either seat or runners? My original drivers seat, whilst in mint condition, is giving me some back trouble (something I never had from my later 1300).
(It would have to be a GTie rather than any other model to match the Ermengildo Zegna trim, of course....)

Don't know for sure but I'm 95% certain that they will fit. I have a freind who has both types of car and I will get him to measure up but it may take a few days.
Alternatively, can you measure your car and I will measure mine (HF Turbo ie).
However I don't think that you will find the ie seats any better I have a lumbar support pad that I use with the HF Turbo and in my GTie before that plus I put Prisma Symbol seats in the GTie but they just looked better not any more comfortable. The Recaros as in some HF Turbo carb cars would be a better bet. All integrale have the Recaros but in different trim.

Have measured up the GT and the GTie. Bad news is that the length of the runners is different, the GT has 3620 mm between front and rear mountings, whereas the GTie has 3240mm between them. The width is the same at 4530mm. The dimensions seem bizarre but I measured them without seats in place so fairly accurate. As the rear mounting is a small pillar thing it would be difficult to put the ie seats (shorter) in the carb car. Presumably the sorter fitting was to provide more rear legroom. The runners may be interchangeable though, sorry was not able to check that as the seats from the carb car were dumped many years ago.

Thanks very much for taking the trouble to measure up. Looks like a swap wouldn't be that straightforward. (Plus I guess finding a decent set of GTie seats these days might be tricky anyway...)
Funny, I remember thinking that the seat on my GT went a fair bit further back than on my late (1990) 1300. Obviously I wasn't just imagining it.
Perhaps I'll try a lumbar support and see how I go. (And maybe keep an eye out for some carb HF turbo Recaros - though I guess they're like hen's teeth).

I have an '89 GTie, but managed to score a pair of recaro seats from a Delta Turbo in the same trim (luckily!) - unfortunately, the runners on the recaros are longer than the original GTie seats, and the mounting bolt holes didn't match up (at the rear), so i drilled new holes... and hey presto! All is well...
