With what i've heard about the exteem taxes involved with importing a grale into Israel, i would consider buying one in italy exactly the same as you have and change the registration / chassis numbers. Its very much illegal in the UK (And probably the rest of Europe) to prevent people selling stolen cars under a different identity but you might not have so much of a problem there.

Obviously I'd suggest that you don't sell the car onto anyone unless they are well aware of the history. Certainly keep hold of all the parts off the damaged car as its always handy to have a big pile of spares.

I do have a 1990 16V integrale with the engine (1 piston melted) and turbocharger blown up. The car was originally narrow bodied, but afterwards modified with the evolution body. The suspension is still from the narrow track version, but with track widerners it doesn't look to bad. If the engine in your car is OK, maybe you could put it in my car.
