Prisma HF

Unread post by Marcos »

Hi all... Great for you to have a Lancia ;)

I have a Prisma 1.6i.e. for about a year now and it gives so much pleasure to see that I can make those kids with punto, saxo, and so on.... sweat a little with my 14 year old car ;)

Well... my idea is to make them even more surprised.... I want to fit totally a delta hf turbo i.e. in my car ... has anyone ever done that ??? what can i expect ??? please help me ... if I do this ... I'll share the photos later :)

Thanks for your attention

Hi Marcos,

Just a suggestion but why don't you just sell the prisma and either buy a HF Turbo ie (Don't get the Carb model) or a prisma INTEGRALE (You can make the cosworth boys sweat then!!).

Regards,
Martin - 8V Delta Integrale.

Hi... thanks for your attention...

The thing is that I really need the boot and the prisma integrale is 1km/h slower in the top speed then mine... :(

And ... hehe ... imagine a 206 GTI beeing swallowed by a prisma 1.6 i.e. .... only with that whistle thing as a difference ;)

Hi Marcos,
Yeah go for it. I have had two Prisma Symbols and think they are great cars. I have also had two Delta HFie and therefore know them well. I'm sure that the HF Turbo engine would fit with no problem other than getting the exhaust extended. The Turbo exhaust is a slightly bigger diameter, I think that the Prisma tail pipe could be made to fit onto the front bits of the Turbo exhaust although you might lose a bit of power. You will need to use the Marelli-Weber wiring from the HF as well as the ECU and the Pressure sensor beside the water bottle. The outer HF CV joints are a different specification, but the Prisma drive shafts and CV joints will fit and work OK. Fuel pump will be OK so its an easy job(!). If you use the Prisma transmission it will be slightly lower geared and therefore help with acceleration but you would have high revs at speeds over 120 mph (190kph?). The HF and Prisma instrument panels look very similar, you may be able to install the HF one, otherwise you would need to blank off the pipe that feeds the boost guage.

Buon' fortuna, Leo
