Oil leaking

Unread post by James »

I have an 8v integrale with 100000 kms on it. Recently i've noticed some drops of oil on the ground underneath the turbo after its been driven. The drips eventually stop after a day or so. The oil seems to trickle down the intercooler pipe from the turbo, although i'm not sure if that is the source or not as i've not yet had time to investigate in detail.

Are the seals on the turbo gone or is the oil coming from elsewhere? does anyone have any ideas?

hi,
i have an 88' Hf turbo, with 120000km on it, recently this problem started on my car too, i've been told that it could only be the turbo seals...

Someone on the Evocorner website has had a similar sounding problem and was told it could be the connection between the oil pipe and turbo, or the gasket

hi,

I have a 1991 delta integrale and had recently the same problem.
look at the pipe wich connect oil pump and turbo. Look the where it is connected to the turbo. I bought used pipe from dedra integrale at scrapeyard.

Could be a block in the oil breather system. Once the systen starts to clog , it will find the point of least resistance and push oil through that point. Usually this occurs on when the engine has been run hard and then turned off. Wait for tell tell "hissing" as the oil finds it's path. Check the breather from near the bottom of the to turbo - check it's gasket after cleaning the breather system. Good luck.
In my experience with delta HF's , curing one oil leak usually leads to another!
