Forgot toask - just to make sure - the series 2 oil filter housing does not have the insert with the pipe (number 9 in the pic in the post above) - just the threaded base, correct (as shown in the photo)

As always, thanks for your help Huib. The sender unit is a new one so should function correctly. WIll test it. And if OK, I will check with a proper oil pressure tester. I recall on my beta montecarlo, I had the dash instrument calibrated to the sender unit.

My S2 1600 engine was completly rebuilt and I recall when I first started, cold oil pressure was over halfway. When I took the car on its first test run last weekend, pressure was very low (just above minimum) and not really reacting to higher RPM. Have not done another cold start yet but thought I ...

Bedankt Huib. Ben het gedeeltelijk met je eens - heb 12 en 13 aangepast want denk dat je daar gelijk hebt. Maar 9 is volgens mij de 4 bouten die de veer op de achteras monteren. En 10 is de bout die door de silent block gaat van voor. Maar goed, zoals je zelf zegt - het is mijn verantwoordelijkheid!...

Huib - heb je nog eens gekeken naar mijn vraag over de aanhaal momenten?

Aha - je weet dus dat de nieuwe silent blocks geen flens hebben. OK dat is goed om te weten!

Bedankt Huib - als je ooit silent blocks met flenzen maakt, laat dan even weten. Ik zal inmiddels eens een nieuw block kopen en open zagen om te kijken of er een flens in zit.
