Brake servo rod
Hi, I have a RHD Lancia Fulvia Series 1 Ralle S. I've at last found some time to complete the overhaul of the car and as such my attention is turning to the last major element, the brake system. Several years ago I had to buy a LHD brake master cylinder (still as new) together with a 10mm (approx) c...

Re: Alternator conversion - Lancia Fulvia series 1 Ralle S
Hi Georges, I forgot to mention about the fan. Yes I removed the metal one and fitted an electric one which has a sensor within the top of the radiator. I have tested the engine with the car stationary and allowed it to heat up. The electric fan was activated when the temperature gauge reached appro...

Re: Alternator conversion - Lancia Fulvia series 1 Ralle S
Hi Georges, I will contact the company that I purchased the unit from (as it was refurbished) to obtain a reference number for the alternator. All I can confirm is that it's a 65amp Denso unit with a serial number type of 16427 (attached photo) The carburettor tray is the piece of formed metal under...

Re: Alternator conversion - Lancia Fulvia series 1 Ralle S
Hi Georges, You are quite correct about the fuel pump being in close proximity with the alternator. It is very close to the Denso Alternator unit I have fitted (about a 5mm gap after tensioning the belt) + I had to source a series 3 carburettor drip tray and extend the pressed arch by welding in a n...

Re: Alternator conversion - Lancia Fulvia series 1 Ralle S
Dear Huib, First of all thank you very much for your time in compiling so much information, very impressive and immensely helpful. There is a large amount of information which I will print out and digest in a methodical manner. The first thing that strikes me like a 'thunderbolt' is the alternator e...

Re: Alternator conversion - Lancia Fulvia series 1 Ralle S
Hi Folks, After a very 'testing' afternoon chasing around the wiring loom I've come to the conclusion that I am out of my depth regarding an alternator wiring setup, mainly due to the original loom being suited to a dynamo/regulator. I feel that it may be best to seek the help of a professional auto...

Re: Gearbox/ Engine numbers
Thank you for your help, I had a feeling it was the 1216 version, so the engine I have will be rebuilt & hopefully find its way back to someone's 1216cc Coupe in the future. I will check the manuals I have to determine if the gearbox has different ratios for the Coupe & Sedan. Again, hopeful...
